Day 1: NAIROBI – TREELODGE L,D

0900 hrs depart from Nairobi hotels. Morning drive through picturesque farms and coffee plantations to the Highlands of Kenya. Continue deep into the forests of the Aberdares or Mount Kenya for an exciting overnight stay at the Ark or Mountain lodge. Here guests can relax in comfort while observing the animals gather to drink at the floodlit waterhole in front of the lodge.

Day 2: LAKE NAKURU B,L,D

Leaving the green and fertile highlands, visit Thomson’s water falls before descending into the Rift valley. Continue to Lake Nakuru. Lunch and afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National park, famous for its pink ribbon of flamingos that feed along the shores of the lake, as well as being one of the best parks in East Africa to see Rhino. Overnight at a lodge or camp close to the lake.

Day 3:  MASAI MARA B,L,D

A morning drive of great scenic beauty and contrast, passing Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano, to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most spectacular game reserve. Lunch and an afternoon game drive may reveal the “Big Five”: lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo. Spend the next two nights at a lodge or camp in Masai Mara.

Day 4: MASAI MARA B,L,D

Every new morning on safari brings a different experience. A full day game viewing in the Masai Mara. Elephant and Buffalo abound in the riverine forests, while out on the grasslands Impala and Thompson’s gazelle can be seen together with their attendant predators such as lion, Cheetah, Hyena and Jackal. The Mara is, in fact, the northern part of the Serengeti ecosystem and plays host to the vast herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra during the months of July to October. Lesser known species such as topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, eland and many small mammals create a kaleidoscopic picture of wildlife.

Day 5: NAIROBI B

Morning drive back to Nairobi and drop off at Nairobi hotels.
