0900 hrs depart from Arusha. Morning drive to Tarangire. Drive directly into Tarangire Park for a day game viewing with picnic lunch. Much of the area has an unusual landscape, dotted with Baobab trees giving it an almost pre-historic look. It is also one of the best places in Northern Tanzania to see Elephant, especially along the river in the dry season. Overnight at Tarangire Kirurumu or Maramboi camp.

Morning game drive in Tarangire and lunch at the camp. Afternoon drive across the Great Rift valley to Manyara for afternoon game viewing in lake Manyara park. Look out for the famous tree climbing Lions as well as Hippo, Flamingo, Elephant and Giraffe. Overnight at Manyara Kirurumu tented lodge or Manyara Kilimamoja lodge.

A morning drive to Serengeti, stopping to admire the magnificent scenery on the way. Lunch and afternoon game viewing in the park. Spend the next two nights at Serengeti Kati Kati camp or Kubu Kubu camp.

Morning and afternoon game viewing in Serengeti. Look out for Leopard along the riverine forest or marvel at the vast herds of Wildebeest and Zebra out on the plains. While Lion and Cheetah may be spotted lurking around the rocky Kopjes.

Morning drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area with picnic lunch. The afternoon is flexible according to season and movement of animals and will include either game viewing in Ndutu or a guided walk along the top of the crater rim. An optional visit to the Archaeological museum at Olduvai where Louis and Mary Leakey found the fossilised remains of some of man’s oldest ancestors may also be included (entry fees to Olduvai museum supplementary charge $36 pp).
The next two nights will be spent at Ngorongoro Farm House or Ngorongoro Oldeani lodge.

Early breakfast and descend into the crater for game viewing with picnic lunch (max 6 hours in the crater). The wonderful variety of wildlife and stunning landscape make this one of nature’s most unforgettable spectacles. Late afternoon ascend from the crater and remainder of the day at leisure.

Morning drive back to Arusha where the tour ends (onward transfers to airport or hotels outside Arusha town must be added).
