Safari Briefing: Day 01 at 0700hrs approx.
Departs on Day 01: 0730hrs approx.
Returns on Day 08: 1200hrs approx. (flights to be booked)

 
Luggage

Due to limited luggage space in vehicles, suitcases are unsuitable for scheduled road safaris. We recommend luggage packed in inexpensive barrel/sausage bags or soft sided bags not exceeding 15kgs and 65×46 cm.
Excess luggage can be handed over to the representative at time of briefing. It will be handed over to you on your return from safari. Additional costs may apply to pick up drop off luggage at specific points.

– We may have to reroute the itinerary or accommodate in similar lodges in case of non- availability
– Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control and any increase levied will be passed to you

END OF SERVICE

Day 1: Kigali

Arrive Kigali Airport. Meet and transfer to hotel for lunch (payable locally). Afternoon guided tour of Kigali city including the Genocide museum. Afternoon or evening arrivals will do this tour on day 4. Overnight at Lemigo hotel BB.

Day 2: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK B,L,D

Breakfast and morning leisurely drive North to Ruhengeri, lying at the base of the Virunga mountains. Afternoon excursion to to the Buhanga sacred forest, an important ecological site of great beauty and a wonderful place to see tropical bird and butterflies. Alternatively visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural village where ex-poachers have reformed and now welcome visitors to learn about their lifestyle and traditions. See a king’s house, visit the medicine man, try bow and arrow shooting and enjoy demonstrations of tribal dancing and drumming. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View lodge.

Day 3: GORILLA TRACKING B,L

Spend the morning at the shores of Lake Kivu, with optional leisure activities. Lunch at your hotel.

Afternoon, drive back to Kigali – with onward transfer to the airport for your evening outbound flight.

Day 4: DEPART B

Transfer to airport for departure.
