Masai Safari

Day 1: NAIROBI – SAMBURU L,D

Pick up from Nairobi hotels. Morning drive (6 hrs) North through picturesque farms and villages before descending from the highlands to Samburu National reserve. Stop for lunch and cross the Equator en route. Evening game drive in the reserve. Spend the next two nights at Samburu Sopa lodge.

Day 2: SAMBURU B,L,D

Morning and afternoon game viewing in Samburu/Buffalo Springs reserve. It is the unusual versions of commonly known animals as well as unique species that make this such a compelling park to visit.

Day 3:  MOUNT KENYA B,L,D

Morning drive (3 hrs) deep into the forests of the lower slopes of Mount Kenya for overnight at Mountain lodge. Here guests can relax in comfort while observing the animals gather to drink at the floodlit waterhole in front of the lodge.

Day 3:  LAKE NAKURU B,L,D

Morning drive (3.5 hrs) via Thomson’s falls into the Rift valley and on to Lake Nakuru National park. Lunch and afternoon game drive beside the lake, seasonal home to over 450 species of bird including millions of Flamingo lining the shore. Overnight at Lion Hill or S opa lodge near the lake.

Day 5:  MASAI MARA B,L,D

A morning drive (4 hrs) of great scenic beauty and contrast, crossing the Rift Valley en route to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s most spectacular game reserve. Lunch at a lodge and afternoon game drive in Mara Reserve. Spend the next two nights at Mara Serena lodge.

Day 6:  MASAI MARA B,L,D

Morning and afternoon game viewing drives in Masai Mara may reveal the “Big Five”: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo.

Day 7:  Nairobi B

After breakfast drive (5 hrs) back to Nairobi where the tour ends.
