Due to limited luggage space in vehicles, suitcases are unsuitable for scheduled road safaris. We recommend luggage packed in inexpensive barrel/sausage bags or soft sided bags not exceeding 15kgs and 65×46 cm.
Excess luggage can be handed over to the representative at time of briefing. It will be handed over to you on your return from safari. Additional costs may apply to pick up drop off luggage at specific points.

Day 1: Arrival/Nairobi

Arrival of your international flight into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Met by our representatives outside customs and immigration halls. Safari briefing and transferred to Hemingways Nairobi Hotel. Check-in to a deluxe room on bed and breakfast. Spend 1 night on bed and breakfast meal plan.

Day 2: Nairobi/Masai Mara; B,l,D

Breakfast at the hotel. Met by our representatives and transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled Air Kenya flight to Masai Mara National Reserve departing at 10h30.

11h00: Arrive Mara North Airstrip. Met by Karen Blixen Camp vehicle and driver. Transferred to the camp with game drive en-route. Arrive, check-in and lunch. Afternoon game drives. Spend the next 3 nights at the camp inclusive of full board accommodation, Water, soft drinks, local beers and house wines, Unlimited shared game drives per day (optional full day game drive) , One night game drive within Mara North Conservancy and Return airstrip transfers.


Day 3-4: Masai Mara; B,L,D

Two full days spent in the reserve with scheduled safari activities. Karen Blixen Camp in the Maasai Mara offers an authentic??c “yesteryear” experience for visitors wishing to gain that extra from their safari. Set on the bank of the Mara River, the camp consists of 22 luxurious tents. The location is spectacular, with the great Mara plains behind the camp and the impressive escarpment and Mara River in front. Throughout the day, zebras, elephants and hippos come to drink from the river right in front of the camp. All meals and overnight stay will be at Karen Blixen Camp.

Karen Blixen Camp comprises large luxury canvas tents, each placed with privacy and undisturbed view along the Mara River. The stylish restaurant, the reception, the lounge and bar and the gift shop with internet are set on a raised wooden deck and furnished with accurate reproductions of Karen Blixen’s private furniture to fit in with the cozy atmosphere. The beautiful laid swimming pool offers relaxation and even a little exercise in-between game drives. Our resident masseuse offers a wide range of wellness and beauty treatments. Karen Blixen Camp is the perfect place to sit back and relax with a gin and tonic overlooking the Mara River and the wildlife coming to drink, whilst exchanging stories about the adventures of the day.


Day 5: Masai Mara/Nairobi/Depart; B, L, D.

Breakfast at the camp. Transferred to Mara North Airstrip for your scheduled Air Kenya flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport departing at 11h30.13h00: Arrive, met and transferred to Ole-Sereni Hotel. (Optional lunch/Dayroom use on own arrangements-Payable locally).Later met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight out.
