Luggage

Due to limited luggage space in vehicles, suitcases are unsuitable for scheduled road safaris. We recommend luggage packed in inexpensive barrel/sausage bags or soft sided bags not exceeding 15kgs and 65×46 cm.
Excess luggage can be handed over to the representative at time of briefing. It will be handed over to you on your return from safari. Additional costs may apply to pick up drop off luggage at specific points.

Day 1: NGORONGORO D

1400 hrs depart from Arusha Impala hotel. Afternoon drive to Karatu situated in the highland coffee growing areas of Ngorongoro. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm house or Valley lodge.

Day 2: SERENGETI B,L,D

Early breakfast and descend into the crater for morning game viewing with picnic lunch. The wonderful variety of wildlife and stunning landscape make this one of nature’s most unforgettable spectacles. afternoon drive to Serengeti, stopping to admire the magnificent scenery on the way. Spend the next two nights at Kati Kati tented camp or Sopa lodge in Serengeti.

Day 3: SERENGETI B,L,D

Morning and afternoon game viewing in Serengeti. Look out for Leopard along the riverine forest or marvel at the vast herds of Wildebeest and Zebra out on the plains. While Lion and Cheetah may be spotted lurking around the rocky Kopjes.

Day 4:  LAKE MANYARA B,L,D

Morning drive to Manyara. Lunch and afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National park. Look out for the famous tree-climbing Lions as well as Hippo, Flamingo, Elephant and Giraffe. Overnight at Kirurumu Manyara tented lodge or similar.

Day 5: TARANGIRE B,L,D

Morning drive to Tarangire. Lunch and afternoon game viewing in Tarangire park. Much of the area has an unusual landscape, dotted with Baobab trees giving it an almost pre-historic look. It is also one of the best places in Northern Tanzania to see Elephant, especially along the river in the dry season. Overnight at Lake Burunge tented lodge or similar.

Day 6:ARUSHA B

Morning drive back to Arusha where the tour ends (onward transfers to airport or hotels outside Arusha town must be added).
