Luggage

Due to limited luggage space in vehicles, suitcases are unsuitable for scheduled road safaris. We recommend luggage packed in inexpensive barrel/sausage bags or soft sided bags not exceeding 15kgs and 65×46 cm.
Excess luggage can be handed over to the representative at time of briefing. It will be handed over to you on your return from safari. Additional costs may apply to pick up drop off luggage at specific points.

– Prices for domestic flights, airport taxes or park fees may be changed without prior notice. This is beyond our control and any increase levied will be passed to you

Day 1: ENTEBBE – MURCHISON FALLS PARK L,D

The tour starts from Entebbe or Kampala. Drive North to Murchison falls national park with a stop for lunch. The last stretch of the road winds through the green canopy of Budongo tropical rain forest, an important ecological conservation project noted for its 4 species of mahogany trees. Cross the River Nile by ferry and spend the next 2 nights at Paraa lodge.

Day 2: MURCHISON FALLS PARK B,L,D

Morning game drive along the North bank Buligi circuit of the Murchison Falls park with its magnificent landscapes of open savannah dotted with Borassus palm trees. Lunch and afternoon boat trip along the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the Murchison falls. From here we suggest a hike to the top of the Murchison falls for the spectacular views looking down (or drive to the top of the falls evening of day1).

Day 3: KIBALE B,L,D

Early breakfast and a full day drive along the remote Eastern shores of lake Albert to Fort Portal, the centre of Uganda’s tea growing community. From here a short drive to Kibale Forest, home of the champanzees and several species of monkey. Overnight at Primate lodge.

Day 4:  QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK B,L,D

Morning guided chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest. Lunch and afternoon drive to Queen Elizabeth park, crossing the Equator en route. Enjoy an evening scenic drive along the explosion crater road with its splendid views across the plains and a chance to spot leopard. Spend the next 2 nights at Mweya lodge.

Day 5:  QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK B,L,D

Morning game drive following the North shores of the Kazinga channel and into Kasenyi. Lunch and afternoon boat excursion along the Kazinga channel to see hippo, elephant, crocs, buffalo and antelope close to the shoreline.

Day 6:  BWINDI B,L,D

Morning drive into Ishasha, the remote and less visited Southern area of Queen Elizabeth park.

Game viewing and picnic lunch overlooking the Ntungwe river which marks the border with the Congo. here there is likley to be a large colony of hippo either cooling off in the water or basking on the sand banks. Afternoon drive through the rural back roads to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park. Spend the next 2 nights at Mahogany Springs or Buhoma lodge.

Day 7:  BWINDI B,L,D

Full day gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. This may take just a few hours or the whole day depending on the location of the gorilla family.

Day 8:  ENTEBBE B

Transfer to airstrip for scheduled flight back to Entebbe.
